As the High Sheriff of Oxfordshire’s shrieval year draws to a close we reflect on the highlights of Sally Scott’s tenure, culminating in an awards evening to celebrate the unsung heroes of our county.
On International Women’s Day, we want to celebrate four amazing charitable organisations in Oxfordshire that are transforming the lives of women in our county.
OCF has just published its audited accounts for the financial year 2022–23. Grant-making was over £2 million for the third year running, demonstrating the major emphasis on growing the funds that we are able to distribute to charities and groups across Oxfordshire.
Keynote speakers at the recent Oxfordshire Uncovered launch event provided insights on the challenges facing some people in our county, while also highlighting the uplifting role of local philanthropy in fostering hope.
Two new companies, B4 and Oxford PharmaGenesis, join OCF’s Collective Business Fund to support Oxfordshire’s dynamic charitable sector with grant funding.
The Didcot Powerhouse Fund celebrates its first two years! It has raised over £270,000, made 35 grants to local charities and community groups, and supported 2,880 local beneficiaries to date.
As we come to the end of 2023 we’d like to thank our volunteers, trustees, supporters, donors and wonderful local charities and organisations who continue to amaze and inspire us every day. Our report, Oxfordshire Uncovered, shows how vital these grassroots charities are and the life-changing differences they make to people’s lives.

OCF have awarded a number of grants totalling £263,528 to support charities and organisations continuing to respond to the increased cost of living by offering urgent support as well as building longer-term resilience.
