Living Essentials Fund opens for applications following on from previous Cost of Living grants to Oxfordshire’s grassroots charities.
Applications are now invited from charitable organisations across Oxfordshire to receive a share of approximately £200,000 that will be awarded in grants.
We know that the the high cost-of-living has not gone away for many people in our county and the impact of this disproportionately affects the most vulnerable:
Funding will help charitable organisations to provide crucial ongoing support to ensure people in Oxfordshire have the basics needed for living a stable and safe life.
The Living Essentials Fund will support charitable organisations that are helping people with unaffordable essentials such as homelessness, food insecurity and warmth as well as debt advice. This could be through preventative solutions and community resilience as well as services for those in crisis.
Last year around 200 organisations applied and 35 organisations received a share of £270k from the Cost of Living Fund.
The grants round opens on 7th October 2024 and will close to applications at midday on 4th November 2024.
