OCF are looking for new Grants Assessors and Panellists to support our grant-making, with a new package of benefits for volunteers.
Each year, OCF gives out around £2 million in grants to charitable organisations in Oxfordshire. Our team run an expert, fair and rigorous grant-making process to ensure accountability and transparency to our work. Volunteer Grants Assessors and Panellists play a vital role in this process and we are looking to expand our volunteers in a new pilot programme. Grants Assessors and Panellists are volunteers who assist the Trustees and staff of OCF with the assessment of grants.
We are striving to be the gold-standard in grant-making and to do this we want a diverse range of people to assess our grant applications, where their skills and life experience can make a difference to our decision-making. Assessors and Panellists are crucial members of our grants assessment team, evaluating applications to help with the difficult decisions on awarding funds.
We want your voice to make a difference and we recognise the commitment that volunteers give through their time and insight. So we will be offering a range of benefits including networking opportunities and a reward and recognition package to show our commitment to Assessors and Panellists.
By expanding our assessor team, we aim to strengthen our assessment process, ensuring a fair and comprehensive evaluation of grant proposals. Your involvement as a potential assessor is vital, contributing to the effectiveness and fairness of our grant assessment procedures, ultimately making a lasting difference in the Oxfordshire community.
This autumn, we will be doing a pilot of offering vouchers to assessors to recognise their time. This is a one-off experiment as we try out different approaches to remove barriers to participation.
Find out more about becoming a Grants Assessor or Panellist and complete this Expression of Interest by 27th August. We will then get in contact with further information.
We look forward to hearing from you.
