Kate Fyson has stepped down from the OCF trustee board, as she reached the end of her three year term of office. We wish to thank her for all her support, as she has decided to devote her time to her young family and expanding business.
Kate is an experienced finance professional with over 15 years’ of experience in privately held businesses, with a strong track record in strategy, corporate planning and structuring. She holds a degree in Chemistry from Oxford University, and for nine years worked in the Private Equity Department at the Royal Bank of Scotland, co-leading the management and disposal of assets up to £3.6bn enterprise value. For the last eight years, Kate has run her own property development and project management business.
As well as the trustee board, Kate was part of OCF’s Finance Committee and the Marketing and Philanthropy Committee, where her financial and business ownership experience were gladly welcomed. Kate was a key support in fulfilling our ambition to take a more strategic convening approach to some of the social problems we identified in Oxfordshire Uncovered, which then became our strategic initiatives. She has also supported us in staff recruitment.
Thank you to Kate and to our present board, as without such volunteers, none of our work would be possible. Our Board of Trustees, recently welcomed two new members, Sara Fernandez and Estella Wild.
