At a ceremony at Oxford Crown Court on Tuesday, local businessman Richard Venables was sworn in as the 2018-19 High Sheriff of Oxfordshire, replacing Jane Cranston. During his year he will run a series of sporting challenges for businesses.
OCF is seeking donations to its High Sheriff’s Community Integration fund, which brings together people from different backgrounds, builds mutual understanding and encourages a sense of belonging to the wider community.

Our Step Change Fund has just awarded a total of £146,690 to three local charitable organisations that are leading the way in their fields. At an event to celebrate #GivingTuesday last night, John Lewis Oxford’s Branch Manager Julie Blake announced the launch of the Westgate Fund. The fund is held with Oxfordshire Community Foundation and will make grants to charities and community groups working with disadvantaged people in the city.
OCF has just opened our next round of Delivering Impact grant funding. We are particularly seeking applications from groups that are working to reduce the affect of crime on children and families.
Community foundations in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Milton Keynes are working together to turn the proceeds of crime into grants that reduce reoffending, prevent social problems and build community resilience.
OCF has just published its audited accounts for the financial year 2016–17, which show that we made £847,017 in grants to 122 different charitable organisations. We also increased our donations by 24% by bringing in several important new partners.
