Grants round aims to promote healthy hearts across Oxfordshire

OCF is very pleased to be running a healthy hearts grants round. This funding, made available from Oxfordshire County Council, Public Health, aims to improve or maintain cardiovascular health, including raising awareness, increasing knowledge of the issues, and promoting positive behaviour, such as increased physical activity and reduced smoking. Grants between £2,000 and £25,000 are available.

Grants open for local communities to celebrate Platinum Jubilee through culture and creativity

OCF is delighted to be one of the network of community foundations distributing the Arts Council England Let’s Create Jubilee Fund. This £5 million programme will support community and voluntary organisations in England to develop creative and cultural activities as part of Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June 2022.

Didcot Powerhouse Fund

The Didcot Powerhouse Fund launches to create a lasting legacy for the town

The Didcot Powerhouse Fund aims to tackle inequality and deprivation within the Garden Town Area of Influence in Didcot. It was founded by Didcot First, key local employers, professionals and volunteers. Together they want to ensure Didcot becomes a more inclusive and sustainable community by attracting funding from a wide range of sources. The Fund was officially launched at an event on the 10th November.

Amanda Ponsonby celebrates a year as High Sheriff with awards to community groups across Oxfordshire

As she reaches the end of her year as High Sheriff of Oxfordshire, Amanda has been touring the county presenting awards to the many grassroots community groups and charities she has met since April 2020. Despite the pandemic, Amanda has succeeded in raising awareness and funds for a huge number of causes, and used her awards as a chance to recognise the hard work and dedication of the voluntary sector. 

Delivering better futures with Made By Sport as ‘Clubs In Crisis’ fund launches

Made By Sport officially launches its ‘Clubs In Crisis’ fund to coincide with the date that sports clubs can begin to meet outdoors again. UK Community Foundations have teamed up with Made By Sport to offer local sports clubs and organisations the opportunity to apply for a grant which can help support young people as they start to recover from the effects of the latest lockdown.
