Led by accountancy firm Clark Howes, Reciprocate Encounters is a quarterly-run professional skills programme delivered by companies who want to share their wealth of knowledge and experience with the charity sector on a range of business-critical areas.
Members of OCF’s responsible business group Reciprocate have taken the initiative to offer their staff’s professional skills to the charity sector in Oxfordshire. Reciprocate member business Clark Howes is leading on the initiative, with Marketing Manager Anna Weston working with Reciprocate Chair Tony Stratton to arrange a series of interactive workshops aimed at staff and volunteers of Oxfordshire-based charities.
Reciprocate is a business group founded by Oxfordshire Community Foundation that aims to bring together responsible businesses who are willing to share their experience of community engagement, encourage collaboration with the not-for-profit sector and provide a hub for those who want to get involved within the community.
Encounters topics in the pipeline for the next year include growth and development, marketing and communications, digital and online, as well as HR and talent management. The programme launches with a workshop on ‘How To Grow Your Charity’ on 28th November 2016, with speakers Tim Shaw, Managing Director & Head of Not For Profit at Clark Howes, and Rob Trimble, CEO & Team Leader at the Bromley by Bow Centre. Both speakers are able to draw from their own extensive real-life experiences of both running and growing charities, and the workshop will help participants who want to take their charity to the next level, but are unsure of where to start. Participants will come away from this workshop with actionable tips and ideas to kick-start their development plans. To sign up to ‘How to Grow Your Charity’, click here.
