NewsOCFA stile leading to a field

As we start 2023, we are excited to be recruiting several roles which will strengthen our collaboration with Oxfordshire’s grassroots communities and much-valued donors, and reinforce our finance and governance.

In the Spring we will be bidding farewell to our wonderful Deputy CEO Annette Ahern, who has decided to retire from full-time duties. Annette is such a pillar of OCF and has been for almost a decade, having supported many community organisations to access funding. As a result, we are now recruiting for a new senior position of Head of Grants and Inclusion.

This new team member will ensure our grant-making is the gold standard of inclusivity and accessibility. They will develop trust-based relationships with the county’s diverse grassroots organisations and work in partnership with them. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of community work combined with a commitment to build local capacity and elevate the voices of those most in need. This role will work with Sarah Changizi-Cooper, who started in Grants Officer role last autumn and has already cut her teeth on some big grants rounds!

We have also said thank you and goodbye to our brilliant Communications Manager Kate Walker, so we are therefore recruiting into her role, as well as our very first apprentice, a Fundraising Assistant. These roles will report to our Head of Development Kate Parrinder.

You can find out more about all of the roles we are currently recruiting for here. They all have a closing date of midnight on Sunday 15th January.

In addition, we will be appointing a Head of Finance and Operations and a Finance Officer by the end of January, with interviews already in progress. These roles will cover much of the governance expertise that Annette has brought to OCF, and ensure we continue to steward our donors’ funds responsibly. We are also boosting our trustee team, with more news to follow in the coming weeks.

We are a small, friendly team. OCF is committed to creating an inclusive working environment where everyone can flourish whilst contributing to our mission. We warmly welcome applicants from across the rich diversity of Oxfordshire and we are happy to consider flexible working and we are proud to be an official Oxford Living Wage employer. We would appreciate our networks sharing the opportunities far and wide.
