NewsOCFJayne Woodley, OCF Chief Executive

A statement of reassurance from our CEO, Jayne Woodley as at 6pm 17th March.

Our immediate priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff, trustees, fundholders, partners and groups.

Day to day working

The OCF team are not in the office now. Fortunately, we recently invested in our IT infrastructure. All staff have laptops and secure access to our network and systems to work securely and effectively from home.

Receiving your funding

For all groups who are receiving funding from us, please keep in touch. We wish to be as helpful as possible during the coming weeks and months so that you can focus on the vital work of supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and are reviewing how to ensure all donor and grant application services can continue uninterrupted. For these we will:

  • be reasonable in assessing any change in impact due to the current and exceptional situation.
  • maintain payments as scheduled until the end of April.  We will review this date and inform you of any updates to this.
  • be flexible – if you need to use your funding to help cover sickness, purchase equipment, or deliver services differently that is okay.

If you think you will struggle to meet a reporting deadline please let us know. We are here if you want to contact us about the situation you’re facing. Please email ocf@oxfordshire.org to get in touch with the grants team.

A new community resilience fund for Oxfordshire

The whole team, some key partners and our trustees are working on a funding response to this crisis situation. This emergency community resilience fund aims to allow the vital third sector in Oxfordshire to respond better and recover stronger. We will keep in touch with more details and also, as importantly, how you can donate.

Unlocking the power in our community – stories of kindness

To find all this happening in 2020 is even more poignant for Oxfordshire Community Foundation as we had plans to celebrate our 25th anniversary and really move forward in unlocking the power of our communities. Yet we are already seeing that our community is kind and giving back.

We are all reading some amazing stories. We want to highlight and promote these at OCF so please let us know what is happening in your area so we can share how and where you can help across the county.

If you have any questions or require any further information in relation to our business continuity, please contact Jayne@oxfordshire.org or the team via ocf@oxfordshire.org.

With all our warmest wishes and hopes that you stay healthy and well.
