OCF’s Chair Anna Moon has paid tribute to three trustees who are leaving the Board – Colin Alexander, Nigel Williams and Ian Lenagan.
OCF’s Board said goodbye to three of its trustees at the last session, as they had reached the end of their terms of office. Chair of Trustees Anna Moon thanked Colin Alexander for his hard work as a Trustee for the last eight years, in particular for managing the OCF’s conversion to a CIO, and for championing the transfer of the Adult Literacy Fund, which had become dormant, to OCF so that the funds could be put to good use. Most recently Colin has been heavily involved with the Future-Building Fund, which provides infrastructure support to charitable projects that have ambitions to grow significantly. He will continue this great work as a member of their panel.
Anna also thanked Nigel Williams for his contributions to the Board, and particularly to OCF gaining the Charity Commission’s QA accreditations, and as a member of the Grants Panel. Most importantly Nigel has chaired the Finance Sub Group over many years, ensuring that the foundation’s assets and resources are properly managed, and overseeing the investment portfolio and cash management.
Anna also recognised Ian Lenagan for his valued contribution, in particular with sponsorship from Oxford United FC, of which he is an owner, and his involvement on the Technology Sub Committee. Thanks to Ian’s work on the latter committee OCF has completed a successful transition to the Salesforce CRM system, which allows much greater strategic use of data and a more tailored way of working with our donors and grant recipients.
Heartfelt thanks to these trustees and to our present board, which has just been boosted by the arrival of two new members, Anne Davies and Nick Case. Without our volunteers, none of our work would be possible.
