With just one week to go before the UK and Commonwealth countries celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s 70th anniversary of ascending to the throne, community groups across Oxfordshire have been busy preparing creative and cultural activities.
OCF’s Community Integration Grants funded projects that nurture mutual understanding, trust and friendship between people of different ethnicities, ages or socio-economic backgrounds. At an event on Tuesday, all the charities funded came together to celebrate their work, alongside the donors who enabled the grants.
Over 80 guests took part in a fun and unique wine tasting at Henley’s Leander Club, and learnt about charities tackling deprivation in the town.
OCF’s accounts show that the organisation continues to thrive, with over £1 million in voluntary income and £1.2 million made in grants during the financial year 2017-18.
