NewsOCFMundher Ba-shammakh

We are pleased to welcome Mundher to OCF, who has just completed his first year at Oxford University. He will work primarily on our Getting Oxfordshire Online initiative during his five-week placement.

Mundher has just completed his first year studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Pembroke College, Oxford, and has joined OCF via an internship programme with Oxford Hub.

Alongside call centre and temporary jobs, Mundher has experience as an intern for Dame Louise Ellmann, who at the time was an MP in his hometown of Liverpool. He also worked as a youth activist and documentary maker at Liverpool Arabic Centre, building skills in research and public outreach that he hopes to use during his time at OCF.

Mundher will be working closely with Olwen Lintern-Smyth, OCF’s lead on Getting Oxfordshire Online. His main objectives will be to carry out research into potential funders, income and donation streams for Getting Oxfordshire Online; assist with OCF’s appeal for device donations from businesses and individuals; and assist with other research tasks around measuring the impact of OCF’s grant funding.

OCF’s staff and trustees extend a warm welcome to Mundher as he joins our team!
