Oxford Homeless Movement is a partnership of public, private and charitable organisations with the vision that nobody should have to sleep rough on our streets. By working together, the partnership aims to help people off the streets and keep them off the streets. A brand new website oxfordhomelessmovement.org.uk is now live! It explains the partnership and brings together details of all the services available locally.

The website provides support for local homeless people by giving one place to find the details of all the groups and organisations that can offer help and services – answering questions from ‘I am about to be evicted’ through to ‘I need a shower and clothing’. It also lets you find out how you can help by getting involved with the local groups, donating items or sharing your ideas and more.

If you agree with the vision of Oxford Homeless Movement that: ‘Nobody should have to sleep rough on our streets’, then you can sign the charter online. Oxford Homeless Movement would like to make a series of social media videos featuring people and organisations that have signed up to the rough sleeping charter. They are looking for volunteers to tell Oxford who they are, why they have signed the charter and to encourage others to follow their lead. If you are interested in taking part, please email info@oxfordhomelessmovement.org.uk.

The partnership has worked hard to deliver the website, however it is a continuous process of change and improvement and feedback is very welcome. If you provide services which work with the homeless community and would like to feature on the website, or have any other suggestions or comments, then email info@oxfordhomelessmovement.org.uk.

OCF will keep you to date with all the plans for Oxford Homeless Movement, prior to the official launch around World Homeless Day on 10 October 2019. In the meantime please take a look at the website and sign up to the charter.
