The current High Sheriff of Oxfordshire, Amanda Ponsonby, is hosting the OCF webinar at 2pm on Wednesday 13th May.

Amanda will be joined by four community groups who have been awarded OCF Community Resilience grants to share with us what they are doing in response to coronavirus, how they have changed the way they work and what they have learnt during this time.

Amanda is keen to learn more directly from the community as part of her role as High Sheriff and in particular from those supported by OCF.  Amanda’s late father-in-law, Ashley Ponsonby founded OCF in 1995 when he was Lord Lieutenant. 25 years later, Amanda is going virtual with us to see and hear first hand the enormous potential of community philanthropy.

Amanda is pictured in her kitchen, where she had to be sworn in as High Sheriff instead of at the Crown Court in front of a high court judge.

“A diary which was full of events is now almost empty but I am keener than ever to support the many excellent community and voluntary organisations in the county which are rising to the challenges posed by the current crisis. Oxfordshire is full of wonderful people doing their best to care for all those in desperate need.”

OCF has managed the High Sheriff of Oxfordshire’s Charitable Fund since 2014 and we are delighted she has chosen OCF as her charity to support during her year in office.
