GroupsImpactNewsOxfordshire Leadership Programme research

Your valuable input is needed to help shape a new leadership development programme for the Oxfordshire voluntary and community sector. The Oxfordshire voluntary and community sector has responded brilliantly to the challenges faced over the past year. Yet this has also placed significant pressure on those stepping forward who themselves need and deserve support.

Clore Social is a registered charity that is developing a place-based leadership development programme for employees and volunteers in the voluntary and community sector across Oxfordshire. A fundamental principle is the programme is “place based”, so it’s critical for Clore Social to gain a sound understanding of the local needs and challenges of the voluntary and community sector here in Oxfordshire. Clore Social develop leaders with a social purpose so that they can transform their communities, organisations and the world around them. They help make social change happen by supporting and investing in people and enabling them to become leaders with the resilience, self-awareness and capabilities to tackle the social challenges of the 21st century.

Research Oxford, led by Louise Wheeler, is undertaking the research project on behalf of Clore Social and has launched a short online survey to ensure as many people as possible in the local voluntary and community sector have the opportunity to contribute. We very much appreciate the pressure people and organisations have been, and still are under, but it is hoped the significance of this work is understood and there is a willingness to participate.

The survey, which you can take part in is available here and takes no more than 10 mins. The findings will be published and shared widely around the sector networks and via a public event.
