30th Anniversary End of Festival Dinner
The end of festival dinner will commence with Indian live music and speeches by :
- Annaliese Dodds, Rt. Hon. MP for Oxford East
- Dr Smita Pandit, Women and Mental Health
- Prof. Patricia Daley, Women & the Windrush
Kate Parrinder from OCF will be present and give a very short talk about how OCF is empowering women to make a difference to the community in Oxfordshire.
An authentic three-course home-cooked Indian meal will be served.
Entertainment: Indian classical dance, Syrian dance and a demonstration of saris and bridal wear from Pakistan, India and Syria. The evening coincides with the Persian New Year, Nouw Roz, the Indian Spring Festival of Colours, Holi and the Pakistani Festival of kites, Basant as well as Henna & Rangoli. Come and also experience some Henna artistry and Rangoli.
In aid of Oxford International Women’s Festival and Oxford Hindu Temple and Community Centre Project.
