OCF Fortnightly webinar – communities in the Witney area
Wednesday 5 August, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Free
OCF’s fortnightly webinar is taking place on Zoom every other Wednesday at 2pm, hosted by Interim CEO Adrian Sell and the High Sheriff of Oxfordshire Amanda Ponsonby. In our final webinar before the summer, we will be looking at communities in the Witney parliamentary constituency area.
Confirmed speakers are:
- Pat Chirgwin, Manager at Volunteer Link-Up, which recruits volunteers to help with transport, befriending and practical tasks for people in West Oxfordshire
- Chris Francis, CEO at Meech, a Witney-based manufacturing business with strong links to the local community and an interest in education and work readiness
- Ruth Madder, Director at Bridewell Organic Gardens, which uses gardening to provide structured interventions for people with mental health difficulties in West Oxfordshire.
We will hear about how these organisations have been affected by COVID-19 and what their hopes are for the future.

If you are already familiar with Zoom, you will know this is a reliable and interactive space to meet online. The weblink above will take you to the meeting room. There are no restrictions on which browser you use to join, and the platform works via mobile if you’re on the go. You will arrive on mute and with your screens off.
It should all be straightforward, but an OCF host will be online 10 minutes in advance in case you want to test things out. The webinar will also be recorded for those who can’t attend and a link to the recording will be available.
