National Flexible Working Day
Wednesday 12 September, 2018 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm
FreeThe world of work is changing. More and more businesses are offering part time and flexible work. National Flexible Working Day aims to further the discussion about flexible working for both businesses and employees.
OCF has worked with flexible working recruitment agency 9-2-3 to recruit several members of part-time staff. Katy Smith and Yvonne Pinner, who both came to OCF through 9-2-3, will be panel members at the company’s event, and OCF is being showcased as an organisation that does flexible working well.
9-2-3 believe that part-time work needn’t mean working two or three days a week – it could mean working five days a week, in school hours. These types of hours give businesses continuity throughout the week (no need to plan meetings for specific days) and give employees that all-important work/life balance that makes them most productive.
#LetsAllFlexTogetherDay is a day for everyone across the country to celebrate their ability to work flexibly, no matter what form that comprises – part time, compressed hours, job shares or working from home. Businesses are invited to get on board and proudly shout about how they support flexible working within their organisation – this is an opportunity for the employer as much as for the employee.
9-2-3 will be holding a ‘Question Time’ style event at Unipart in Oxford (with speakers from Travelodge, Business Disability Forum, TMP Worldwide, Knights, Oxford Brookes University and more), which will also be live streamed across their social media channels.
Places are free but available on a first-come, first-served basis.
