Makespace Oxford launch

OCF’s Chief Executive Jayne Woodley will be at the launch of Makespace Oxford, an ongoing project to bring Oxford’s empty and underused space back into community use. As Oxford’s first truly affordable workspace, Makespace is now providing subsidised co-working space for social enterprises, workers cooperatives and small charities in their Jericho building on Aristotle Lane.

OCF has supported the opening of the first Makespace Oxford venue through our Step Change Fund.

Sixteen innovative and creative organisations now call Makespace Oxford home, and they will join supporters of the project, friends, family and the local community to toast the future of the project.

There will be a series of open studios and guided tours as well as a barbecue and bar, an exhibition and activities until 4pm, followed by drinks by the canal until 6pm. This is a public event and anyone is welcome.
