Any donations made to Oxford Homeless Movement’s Christmas match fund, between Sunday 1st December and Monday 6th January, will be worth double! Donations to Oxford Homeless Movement are being matched this Christmas by Oxfordshire Community Foundation (OCF).

OCF is a founding partner in Oxford Homeless Movement and the partnership is hoping to raise over £150,000 in a Christmas Match Fund campaign, for charities helping people rough sleeping and to deliver new services reducing homelessness. OCF has pledged to match the first £75,000 raised.

The Christmas Match Fund has so far raised over £27,500 towards their £150,000 target.

Jane Cranston, Chair Oxford Homeless Movement said: “Thanks to the generous people who have donated so far, we are almost 20% of the way towards our target of £150,000. Last year’s Christmas Match Fund raised over £80,000 for Oxford’s homeless charities, and this year we’re aiming to double that figure. Fabulous OCF have increased the amount they will match to help us achieve our target. We know that many people who visit, live or work in Oxford are signing up to help to ensure nobody should have to sleep rough in our city and we’re keen that everyone should get involved – businesses, individuals and organisations.”

The collective fundraising effort under the Oxford Homeless Movement banner will:

  • be shared between the key homelessness charities that are members of Oxford Homeless Movement
  • help provide more services at the assessment centre and shelter opening in Floyds Row in January 2020
  • kickstart a new Impact and Innovation Fund designed  to develop new initiatives filling critical gaps between services reducing rough sleeping.

So if you are considering donating this Christmas, remember a £100 donation will be worth £200 and when eligible for Gift Aid, a £100 donation is worth £225! Donate now
