Celebrating Maggie’s Day by sharing poems of hope

The tenth Maggie’s Day took place on 2nd November 2021. Maggie’s Day is a collaboration between the Maggie Evans Fund and The Story Museum in Oxford to engage schoolchildren across the county with books and stories, culminating in an event with a children’s author. The fund commemorates the life of Maggie, a literary agent who died at the age of 29.

Charitable organisations call for more funding for BAME communities in Oxfordshire

A new collective of BAME-led charitable organisations in the county is arguing for more philanthropic investment in grassroots activity serving these communities.

Oxford City Council and partners have now helped more than 250 former rough sleepers into settled housing since the outbreak of the pandemic.

OCF continues to support the local community into 2021 with COVID-19 grants for tackling the causes of homelessness and supporting the recovery of young families. Grants, totalling over £268,000, were made from our Community Resilience Fund, set up in April 2020.
