Over £135,000 of grants awarded to support healthy hearts
Oxfordshire Community Foundation is delighted to have awarded grants worth more than £135,000 to 9 local organisation to support healthy hearts.
The Didcot Powerhouse Fund, which is hosted by OCF, has confirmed that in its first year of grant-giving it has been able to make grants totalling £95,508 to 17 organisations, with grants ranging from £400 to £13,000.
OCF curated a panel session at the Marmalade social change conference on 7th April, bringing in different perspectives on the question of how to share power within grant-making structures and processes.
After working with partners to convene the Growing Minds partnership, which has supported 277 families in Berinsfield and Littlemore since its inception, OCF has passed the coordination of the project into the capable hands of our project partners.
At this webinar we will explore the impact of the cost of living crisis on those local communities that were already disadvantaged and struggling, and understand the priorities of local charitable organisations as they face this next challenge.
OCF is delighted to have awarded eight grants totalling £47,977 to local voluntary and community organisations from Arts Council England’s Let’s Create Jubilee Fund.

On 21st February 2022, High Sheriff Imam Monawar Hussain MBE presented the awards to individuals, businesses and grassroots community organisations that are playing a key local role in tackling the climate crisis.
OCF is delighted to announce a brand new annual grants round from The Didcot Powerhouse Fund. Grants between £1,000 and £25,000 are available. Applications are open for initial Expression of Interest until Thursday 17 February.
OCF is very pleased to be running a healthy hearts grants round. This funding, made available from Oxfordshire County Council, Public Health, aims to improve or maintain cardiovascular health, including raising awareness, increasing knowledge of the issues, and promoting positive behaviour, such as increased physical activity and reduced smoking. Grants between £2,000 and £25,000 are available.
