Community groups in Oxfordshire now have the chance to apply for Comic Relief funding via OCF, with new online forms now available for this and other funds. This grants round will be open on a one-off basis for 2015, and will close on Monday 23rd February, so groups only have three weeks to apply.

Red Nose grants of £500–£1,000 are now available to small organisations that are doing great work to help local people living tough lives. Oxfordshire Community Foundation is collaborating with other foundations in Hampshire & Isle of Wight, Berkshire and Dorset to deliver a total of £65,000’s worth of Comic Relief funding to the South region.

The funds are part of the proceeds from the popular two-yearly national appeal Red Nose Day. Since its launch in 1988, Red Nose Day has become something of a British institution, with people across the land getting together to do something funny for money at home, school and work. This year’s Red Nose Day is on Friday 13th March.

This grants round is now closed.

OCF has also just opened a new online application process for its general grant fund, which allows groups to submit all of their information in one go – without having to submit a separate Part B. Everything is done online, including supporting documentation, and applicants can save their application and return to it at their convenience. Grants of up to £5,000 are available from OCF’s general fund, and the next closing date is Wednesday 18th March. Particularly sought currently are applications that promote learning and skills for anyone of any generation, or that improve the lives of elderly people.
