Following the launch of OCF’s new Community Resilience Fund, over £100,000 has already been awarded to support local community and voluntary organisations meeting the new needs and challenges created by the coronavirus.
Lady Sylvia Jay, High Sheriff of Oxfordshire 2019 /20 distributed funds raised during her year as a last official act. Meanwhile, the new High Sheriff Amanda Ponsonby had her swearing in ‘ceremony’ in her kitchen!
Adrian is working with OCF on a freelance basis to help us develop the strategic direction of our Coronavirus: Community Resilience Fund. We hope that this work will inform OCF’s future approach to harnessing the power of community more generally.
OCF launches Community Resilience Fund – we are now taking donations to our new fund! This will incorporate the National Emergencies Trust fund announced yesterday.
The National Emergencies Trust has launched an appeal for funds to help local charities. Some of the funds will be distributed through local Community Foundations.

We were delighted to welcome HRH Duchess of Cornwall to Banbury on Wednesday, shining a light on its bid to become an age-friendly town. As part of her visit, the Duchess was presented with the newly commissioned Age Friendly Banbury badge by co-ordinator Bee Myson.
